Recovering at The Willows Bed and Breakfast Horton in Ribblesdale By: Kate On: 06/09/2009 Average Rating: YOUR RATING 0 Comments 867 Views Caption After losing nearly 5 stone over the last 12 months I thought that a bit of a challenge was required to test my new body. A group assault of the Yorkshire Three Peaks seemed a fun thing to do. We arrived at The Willows bed and breakfast late on Friday evening after a long day at work. It was easy to find and it has its own secure parking. The new owners Joh and Steve are very friendly and made us feel right at home. Our rooms were lovely, clean and spacious. We got a comfortable night's rest on new beds with fresh linen.Breakfast was delicious and just right for us, as Steve is a keen fell runner and he knew exactly what we needed to survive the Three Peaks. After some further walking tips we were on our way.Afterwards we were glad that we didn't have to drive straight home, as we were shattered. Our group was welcomed with refreshing drinks and a soothing hot bath. (new towels) After dinner in a local pub we slept like a log. We left the following day but we promised that we would be back in 2010, as our partners needed a challenge too.We recommend The Willows to all, as it is everything you expect from a good bed and breakfast. If you don't want to drive there, it is only a two-minute walk from Horton railway station on the Settle to Carlisle railway line. They now also have their own website with some great photos.www.the-willows-horton-in-ribblesdale.co.uk Images No Image Available
